Wendy Rhoades begins as a performance coach at Axe Capital, trusted by Bobby Axelrod to manage his psychological edge. She is also the wife of Chuck Rhoades, the U.S. Attorney investigating Axelrod. In the first season, Wendy attempts to negotiate a settlement between Chuck and Axelrod; though both parties agree, Chuck sabotages the deal to spite Axelrod. In Season 2, Wendy leaves Chuck after he breaches her session notes for proof of Axelrod's illegalities, and she is fired by Axelrod in Season 1 for refusing to share those same notes. For the sake of her family, she agrees to return to Axe Capital if Axelrod drops the lawsuits against Chuck; Axelrod agrees, and Wendy reunites with her husband after a period of separation. When Chuck and Axelrod conspire to frame a doctor to protect Wendy from an SEC investigation into her trading, she is saved. After learning that Chuck took no action to protect her during an investigation into her ethical boundaries, Wendy separates from him but they remain married. Though there is tension and a kiss with Axelrod in Season 5, she ultimately rejects the idea of leaving Chuck for him. When Axelrod goes on the run, Wendy remains at Axe Capital, now revamped into Mike Prince Capital, and becomes suspicious of Prince's motives, discovering his plan to run for president. She creates an alliance with Taylor and Wags to take down Prince.
